LotsBlog is the better fit when your AI agent writes and runs the blog: $9 per blog or $24 for three, unlimited page views, and an MCP server and REST API that draft, edit, schedule and publish Markdown articles. Feather is built for teams who write in Notion. Its plans start at $39 a month for 10,000 page views, with unlimited blog sites.

So if you work in ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code or Cursor and want the agent to take a post from draft to published, LotsBlog fits. If your team already writes every post in Notion and wants Notion to stay the editor, Feather is built for that.

Everything about Feather below comes from Feather's own pricing section, help center, changelog and developer docs, checked on 19 October 2026, with links at the end.

## Where LotsBlog is the better choice

### The agent finishes the job, not just the first step

Feather launched its API and MCP server in May 2026. The MCP server at `mcp.feather.so` lists tools to create a blog, create a post in that blog's Notion content database, list blogs, list actions and delete a blog. Its API reference covers the same operations. That gets a new post into Notion. Editing that post, adding images and arranging it happen in Notion and the Feather dashboard.

LotsBlog's MCP server at `https://api.lots.blog/mcp` covers the whole loop. Your agent can create an article, read it back, update only the fields you asked for, upload a cover and inline images, set topics, add FAQ schema, schedule it, publish it, unpublish it, connect a domain, read analytics and invite a teammate. You can ask for a change on Tuesday to a post written on Monday, and the agent makes it in the same chat.

### Markdown articles, not a paragraph of plain text

Feather's docs say the `content` field of a new post is plain text, appended as one paragraph block on the Notion page. Headings, tables and lists are something you'd add in Notion afterwards.

LotsBlog takes the article as Markdown. The tables, H2s, numbered steps and links your agent writes are what readers see, and the agent can add matching FAQPage structured data in the same call. This comparison was saved that way.

### Drafts by default, so nothing goes live by accident

On Feather, a post created through the API or MCP is marked ready to publish by default, and the docs say it appears on the blog once the cache revalidates, usually within a minute or two. You can set `ready_to_publish` to false to hold it.

On LotsBlog every article starts as a private draft. Your agent gives you a preview link, and nothing is public until you tell it to publish or schedule. Scheduled posts go out on the next 15-minute check, and `unpublish_post` takes a live post back to a private draft.

### One price per blog, with no page-view meter

Feather's plans follow your monthly page views. If your traffic grows past 10,000 a month, the plan moves from $39 to $79, then $149 and $299. Feather says it won't charge extra automatically when you go over; it contacts you and gives you time to upgrade.

LotsBlog charges by the number of blogs. Posts, page views and authors are unlimited, so a post that takes off doesn't change your bill.

| Blogs | LotsBlog a month |
|---|---|
| 1 | $9 (pay as you go) |
| 3 | $24 (Starter) |
| 10 | $69 (Pro) |
| 30 | $159 (Business) |

Yearly plans cost ten times the monthly price, and Pro and Business include LotsNotes Pro. The details are in [LotsBlog Pricing Explained](/lotsblog-pricing-explained) and on [lots.blog/pricing](https://lots.blog/pricing).

### Sign in once, no key in a config file

Feather's MCP connects with an API key you create under Settings, API Keys, with scopes such as `create:blog` and `create:post`. Its setup guide puts the key in your client's config as a header, and for Claude Desktop it runs through the `mcp-remote` bridge.

LotsBlog's MCP server uses your agent's own sign-in. Add `https://api.lots.blog/mcp`, sign in, and the agent sees your blogs. You only create an API key if you want the [REST API](/lotsblog-rest-api) for a script, a CI job or n8n.

### `yourdomain.com/blog` on every plan

Both products can serve a blog at a path on your own site. Feather documents it with guides for Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, AWS CloudFront and Ruby on Rails. Its January 2026 changelog shows sub-folders as their own line on the bill, with a charge for the rest of the period when you add one. The pricing section doesn't list that price.

On LotsBlog, `/blog` is included on every plan. Your agent calls `connect_domain` with the path, you add one rewrite rule for Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, Next.js, Netlify or Nginx, and `check_domain` confirms it. The walkthrough is in [How to Host Your Blog at yourdomain.com/blog With LotsBlog](/host-blog-at-yourdomain-com-blog).

### A private guide your agent reads every session

Each LotsBlog blog has an optional private Markdown guide with your audience, voice, facts and rules. Your agent reads it with `get_blog` before it writes, so you don't repeat yourself in every chat.

## What Feather does well

**Notion stays the editor.** If your team already lives in Notion, Feather lets you keep writing there. You connect a Notion database, map its fields, pick a domain, and the blog is live. Feather's FAQ says the free Notion plan is enough.

**Unlimited blog sites on one plan.** Every Feather plan includes unlimited blog sites and unlimited custom domains. Feather says it doesn't charge for additional sites; the price follows page views.

**A full blog out of the box.** Built-in analytics with referrers and clicks, email collection, comments, localization, programmatic SEO, tags, related posts, multiple authors, search, RSS and a sitemap, plus themes, fonts and colors without code. It also offers templates such as a company blog and a help docs layout.

**SEO controls.** Meta tags, canonical links and schema markup on every post, a toggle for trailing slashes in JSON-LD, a noindex setting for the tags page, and a follow whitelist for trusted domains (added July 2026).

**No surprise overage.** Feather says it won't charge you extra or restrict the blog when you pass your page-view limit; it reaches out first.

## How to run your blog from your AI agent

Connect LotsBlog to the agent you already use. In ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, give it this:

> Read https://lots.blog/skill.md and connect LotsBlog. Create a blog for my company and connect it at example.com/blog, then give me the rewrite rule for Cloudflare Workers. Read the five latest posts on our current blog and save each one as a private draft in Markdown with the same title and slug, a cover image, topics and a meta description. Don't publish anything until I say so.

Your agent creates the blog, returns the rewrite rule and a secret to store as `LOTSBLOG_PROXY_SECRET`, saves the drafts, and gives you a preview link for each. When you're happy, tell it to publish one or schedule them a day apart. If the old posts stay up for a while, your agent can set each LotsBlog post's canonical URL to the original so search engines know which one counts.

## Common questions

### Is LotsBlog a Feather alternative?

Yes, for a blog your AI agent writes and runs. LotsBlog costs $9 per blog or $24 for three, with unlimited page views, an MCP server and REST API on every plan, and yourdomain.com/blog included. If your team writes in Notion and wants to keep it, Feather is built for that.

### Does Feather have an MCP server?

Yes. Since May 2026, Feather's MCP server at mcp.feather.so can create a blog, create a post in the blog's Notion database, list blogs, list actions and delete a blog. It connects with a Feather API key that carries scopes, sent as a header from your MCP client.

### How much does Feather cost?

Checked on 19 October 2026, Feather's pricing section shows $39 a month billed monthly for up to 10,000 page views, then $79 for 100,000, $149 for 200,000 and $299 for 500,000, with custom pricing above 1 million. Paying yearly gives two months free: $390 a year, shown as $33 a month, for 10,000 page views.

### Do I need Notion to use Feather?

Yes. Feather uses Notion databases as its CMS, and its API returns an error if Notion isn't connected to your account. Its FAQ says the free Notion plan is enough. LotsBlog doesn't need Notion: your agent saves Markdown articles directly.

### Can an AI agent publish to Feather?

Yes. Through the MCP server or REST API, an agent can create a post in your blog's Notion database, and the post is marked ready to publish by default. The body goes in as plain text, so headings, tables and images are added in Notion afterwards.

### Can I host the blog at yourdomain.com/blog?

Both support it. Feather has guides for Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, CloudFront and Rails, and bills sub-folders as their own line. LotsBlog includes it on every plan: your agent calls connect_domain with /blog and you add one rewrite rule.
