LotsBlog vs Superblog: Which Is Better for Running a Blog From Your AI Agent?

LotsBlog and Superblog are both hosted blog platforms with an MCP server, a REST API, custom domains and built-in SEO, so an AI agent can manage the blog. The difference is who each is built around and how you pay. Superblog is a blogging platform focused on SEO and speed: one blog per subscription from $49 a month, with caps on page views and posts. LotsBlog is built so your AI agent writes and runs the blog: $9 per blog or $24 for three, with unlimited posts and page views, and the MCP server and REST API on every plan.

If you use ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code to write, and you run one blog or several, LotsBlog is the better fit, and the price gap widens as the number of blogs grows. If you want your blog at yourdomain.com/blog, imports from other platforms or a wider dashboard feature set, look at Superblog.

Everything about Superblog below comes from its own website and documentation, checked on 7 October 2026, with links at the end.

Where LotsBlog is the better choice

Built so your agent does the writing

LotsBlog doesn't write articles. Your agent does, in ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code, and LotsBlog stores the drafts, images and topics, schedules, publishes, hosts and reports. A private Markdown guide holds your audience, voice and rules, so your agent reads them at the start of every session. Drafts never publish until you say so.

Superblog describes itself as a blogging platform, not an AI writer. Its FAQ says it doesn't support using AI tools to write entire posts, and offers an AI helper for outlines. Its MCP server can create, edit and publish posts, so an agent can work inside it, but its own FAQ describes it as a platform, not an AI writer.

You pay per blog, not per subscription

LotsBlog charges for the number of blogs. Superblog's FAQ says one subscription covers one blog, and that multiple blogs need multiple subscriptions or an agency plan.

Here is what each costs per month at list prices:

BlogsLotsBlogSuperblog
1$9 (pay as you go)$49 (Pro)
3$24 (Starter)$147 (three Pro subscriptions)
10$69 (Pro)$299 (Agency Basic, up to 20 blogs)
20$138 (Pro plus 10 extra at $6.90)$299 (Agency Basic)
50$265 (Business plus 20 extra at $5.30)$499 (Agency Pro)

Superblog's agency plans add white-label and per-blog team seats, with caps of 100,000 page views a month in total on Agency Basic and 300 posts per blog. LotsBlog's posts and page views are unlimited on every plan.

No page-view or post limits

Superblog's plans are priced by traffic and size: under 100,000 page views a month on Pro, Super and Business, and 1,000, 10,000 or 25,000 posts. Its FAQ says going over isn't capped or charged, up to 20% above your limit, and that it will contact you about a bigger plan if you exceed it in two months out of six.

LotsBlog has no page-view or post limits on any plan, so a post that takes off doesn't change your price.

MCP and REST API on every plan

LotsBlog includes the MCP server and the REST API on every plan and on pay as you go. The REST API has 28 endpoints covering the same blog operations as the MCP tools: articles, topics, images, domains, analytics, scheduling and publishing, with an API key for scripts, CI or your own app.

Superblog's pricing page lists MCP integration and API access on all three paid plans, while its MCP documentation says your blog must be on the Super plan, $99 a month. The two pages disagree, so check which plan you need before you rely on it.

A longer free start

New LotsBlog accounts get 10,000 free credits, valid for 90 days, with no card. That's enough to run one blog for a month. Superblog's free trial is 7 days with no card, and its FAQ says the blog is deleted 14 days after the trial ends if you don't upgrade. If you cancel LotsBlog, nothing is deleted.

What Superblog offers

A wider dashboard and MCP surface. Superblog's MCP covers posts and pages, categories and tags, FAQs, redirects, menus, translations, comment moderation, leads, team and author management, site settings, analytics, custom domains and deployments. It signs in with OAuth, falls back to an API key, and publishes an OpenAPI spec.

Blog at yourdomain.com/blog. Superblog supports subdirectory hosting, so the blog can live on your main domain. LotsBlog serves each blog on a subdomain or a custom domain you point to it.

Imports. It imports from WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Drupal and Blogger, and from Medium's ZIP export, and you can download your posts in one click.

Multilingual SEO and lead capture. AI translation, multilingual SEO, lead forms and webhooks come with the plans.

Agency plans. White-label plans start at $299 a month for 20 client blogs.
